Following the success of the first series in February 2018, the second series in June hones in on key issues raised by Australia's healthcare leaders from the first series.

Governance and usage of data for better integrated care were brought up as few of the key challenges faced by healthcare IT leaders. These challenges are universal. The processes of implementing a complete and proper governance framework and effective delivery of integrated care requires decision-makers to take action at a number of different levels to ensure key building blocks are put in place. Without these foundational aspects, IT and healthcare delivery would be a haphazard endeavor, resulting in disparate systems that do not function well together and an inability to harmonise the delivery of care.

At HIMSS, we provide a safe place for discussions and debates as leaders explore strategies they can take to address common pain points faced by the nation on an organisational level and beyond.
